Dear Ministry Partners,
Thank you all for your prayers. The last two weeks were packed! I taught on October 2nd, went to Fall Retreat that weekend, and then went to Seattle! I got back on the 12th and am happy to be back in Dallas.
The teaching went excellent! I taught on anxiety using Matthew 6:25-34. God used me to reach multiple students! We also had a turnout of about 20 students, which was a God thing. Fall Retreat also went well. We had between 15-20 students come from our BSM and about 50 total from different campuses in the area.
Seattle was very busy, but an excellent time! We did not actually end up going to Seattle proper, but we went to 5 University of Washington and community colleges in the area. Six of us from different BSMs in Texas were sent up to help the two people that were in charge of the campuses in Seattle. We had spiritual conversations, we got to share the Gospel, we tabled, and we hosted Bible studies. The picture included is actually a worship night at the Schneeflock's (the people we were helping) home. It made me hopeful that so many people in the Seattle area were interested in having conversations about Jesus and worshiping Him. Thankfully, I was able to have a little rest when I stayed a couple extra days with my brother Kyle, who lives in Seattle.
Ways to Pray:
- Pray for the Schneeflock family as they continue to serve in the Pacific Northwest with Northwest Collegiate Ministries. Specifically Brad, the father, and Rachel, his daughter, who are the main two at these campuses.
- Pray for Pacific Lutheran University, Pierce College, Green River College, UW Bothell, and UW Tacoma that God will use NCM to share His message and love. Pray that these campuses will be open to His Word.
- Pray for me as I get back into the groove here in Dallas and all the weekly events we have.
- Pray for the Unapologetic Conference on October 18th. I will be working a BSM booth at the event. Pray that people will be equipped to share the Word of God by the conference, and that people will be interested in helping BSM because of it.
To God Be the Glory,
Jacob Gaines
